Anacove Installer Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 22, 2026
Anacove, Inc. provides the Anacove Installer application for authorized equipment installers. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and provide access to information through the Android and iOS applications and their associated Anacove cloud services.
Information We Collect and How We Use It
The application uses your phone number to check your installer authorization and retrieve your installer profile and assigned sites. Installer profiles and assignments may be provided by Anacove personnel or authorized customer representatives.
During installation and servicing work, the application accesses or submits:
Your installer name, phone number, and installer identifier.
Site and room assignments and equipment installation locations.
Equipment identifiers, including device MAC addresses, configuration and status information, and test results.
Installation and maintenance records, including dates and times, notes, and photographs you submit.
We use this information to authorize access, identify and configure equipment, test its operation, document installations, identify who performed the work, contact installers about their work, and support maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault finding.
Camera and Bluetooth Permissions
With your permission, the application uses the camera to scan equipment QR codes and take installation photographs. Photographs you submit are uploaded to Anacove’s cloud systems and associated with the relevant installation records.
The application uses Bluetooth to discover and communicate with nearby Anacove equipment. For example, an installer may connect to a room’s HVAC gateway to configure the equipment and check its operation.
The application does not request access to your phone’s geographic location, microphone, or photo library. Site and room assignments describe equipment installation locations and are separate from your phone’s geographic location.
You can change camera and Bluetooth permissions in your device settings. Disabling a permission prevents the corresponding features from working.
Storage and Access
Information submitted through the application is stored in Anacove’s cloud systems hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS provides the infrastructure used to host and store this information.
Access to installation information is restricted to Anacove-approved personnel, including support staff, and authorized representatives of the customer responsible for the relevant site. This access supports installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault finding.
We do not sell or rent information collected through the application. We do not use this information for advertising or to track installers across other companies’ apps or websites.
Security
The application transmits information to Anacove’s cloud systems using HTTPS with Transport Layer Security (TLS). Access to installation records is restricted to authorized users. No method of electronic transmission or storage can guarantee complete security.
Retention of Installation and Maintenance Records
We retain installation and maintenance records, including associated installer names, phone numbers, notes, photographs, and device information, to support equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, traceability, and installation accountability. Installer identification remains associated with the recorded work after the installer’s access to the site ends.
We retain these records for up to 20 years from the date of the recorded work, or until the site is decommissioned, whichever occurs first. We review associated personal information and delete or anonymize it when it is no longer needed for these purposes, subject to applicable legal requirements.
Changing device permissions or uninstalling the application does not itself delete installation records already uploaded to Anacove’s cloud systems.
Privacy Questions and Requests
For questions about this policy, or to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information or installer account, contact info@anacove.com. Requests are handled manually by our support staff.
We review requests in accordance with applicable law. Where information needs to be retained for installation accountability, maintenance, or a legal requirement, we will explain the reason and any applicable limits on deletion.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the application or our information practices change. We will publish the revised effective date and provide additional notice where required.
